Elefsina Archaeological Site ~ Day 2

Elefsina Archaeological Site ~ Day 2

30 August 2015

Everyone sit in an open position, not crossing arms or legs. Close your eyes and allow the wind to empty your heads. Not only is the Earth willing to assist you, the elements are also very effective.

Opening meditation

Just to listen to the wind, just to imagine the wind blowing through the chambers of your mind when you open those windows, those doors of consciousness. You can imagine the wind is blowing out any irritating thoughts, worries or fears. As you open to that expansion of consciousness you also have the power to empty your mind of any thoughts that are not supporting your target.

It is always a good idea to have a target. Why not enlightenment? Why not open up to the mystery of the life? This place is very sacred for that. You might say that they built all this industry around the area to bury the mystery, to push it even deeper into the Earth so that the simple mind would never understand.

Meditation Exercise at the Ancient Site

What you are going to do today is take a walk around the site and you are going to imagine a counter-clockwise spiral. First, stand with your spine straight and your feet firmly on the earth. We are going to open the spiral around you. Begin with the left side of the body that is where the step begins in the center of the spiral.

You are going to imagine that with each step or every few steps you are stepping into the center of the spiral. We do not want to be too specific because it creates complications in the mind.

You are taking a step into the center of the spiral that goes off into infinity, you see? As you continue to step the spiral is opening around you. You simply imagine that spiral around that foot and then you are taking a few more steps and you are still inside that spiral. It is going and going. At some point you stop – after 5 to 10 steps- and look around the site and then take another step and create another spiral. It is a matter of how focused you can be and how long you can hold on. No talking and cover as much of the area as you can.
